What is CBD?
CBD is the abbreviation for 'cannabidiol'. Cannabidiol is one of 113 know substances from the Hemp plant. CBD is also one of the two most interesting substances. The other substance is the psychoactive THC, which causes a high feeling.
The human body interacts with Cannabinoids because the body recognizes these as own. Our so-called Endocannabinoid system produces compounds that look like Cannabinoids from nature and these activate our Cannabinoid receptors. This system is involved in many bodily processes such as regulating your appetite and energy balance, metabolism and sleep. Endocannabinoids also appear to play a role in all kinds of psychological processes.
What is THC?
THC is short for Tetrahydrocannabinol. Like CBD, THC is a Cannabinoid found in small amounts in the hemp plant. The big difference with CBD is that THC is a psychoactive substance. This means that when used, the user will experience a '' high '' feeling. OCHO Amsterdam removes THC from CBD oil. In most countries, the sale of THC is prohibited and can only be obtained with a prescription from pharmacies.
What is the Endocannabinoid System?
Like the hemp plant, the human body produces cannabinoid like compounds. This is done by the endocannabinoid system that also consists out of cannabinoid receptors. This system is responsible for various processes in our body such as: mood, the immune system, appetite, sleep, the nervous system and pain perception. CBD works very much as a stimulant and as a complement to our own endocannabinoithe system.
What is CBD oil?
CBD is extracted from the flower and leaf of the hemp plant. The CBD is then dissolved in a natural oil such as hemp seed oil, coconut oil, olive oil or grape seed oil. The result is a completely natural product that is often sold in the form of oils or capsules.
What is THC oil?
THC oil or cannabis oil is made from THC. without a prescription Cannabis oil is an illegal product. The oil will give the user a '' high '' feeling.
Is CBD legal in the Netherlands?
CBD is 100% legal in the Netherlands. OCHO Amsterdam ensures that there is 0.0% THC in your CBD oil. Using our products will not give you a positive THC result in a drug test for example traffic or sports.
Is CBD Addictive?
There is no mental or physical dependence when using CBD.
What is the difference between Pure and Full Spectrum CBD?
Pure (isolate) CBD products only contain CBD as an active substance. Full Spectrum CBD products contain all natural cannabinoids. At OCHO Amsterdam there is 0.0% THC in our Full Spectrum CBD products. Our Full Spectrum products are also rich in terpenes and flavonoids. All these components together interact with each other. Online the term ‘’Entourage effect’’ is commonly used to indicate that the different substances work together more strongly than when they are taken separately from each other.
How do I know what dose of CBD to take?
CBD is available in different concentrations. When choosing the right product for you, it is important to realize that everyone reacts differently to CBD. The recommended amount is always stated on our packaging. When using for the first time, it is good to start with a low concentration. To give CBD a chance, we recommend trying this for at least 2 weeks.
Does CBD Affect Appetite?
CBD does not directly affect appetite. However, the combination of CBD and terpenes can possibly influence this. Try our product EATLESS. CBD's primary role is to support the mental and physical processes in our body and to keep them in balance. Eating behavior can be influenced by our mental state.
Does CBD cause side effects?
Using CBD can provide a number of beneficial effects. Because CBD is extracted from the hemp plant and it is often equated with the cannabis plant, it is important to realize that CBD does not intoxicate or gives a '' high '' feeling. Research shows that CBD has little or no effect on important functions such as heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature. As with all vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements, CBD can sometimes cause side effects. It is important to always listen to your body and seek the advice of a doctor if necessary.
Can I use CBD during pregnancy?
Because there is insufficient scientific research on the use of CBD during pregnancy, we do not recommend the usage of CBD during pregnancy. This also applies during breastfeeding.
Is CBD suitable for the elderly?
CBD is certainly suitable for the elderly. CBD can contribute to a healthy lifestyle. The benefits of using CBD can be of interest to all age groups.
How does CBD work?
Just like the hemp plant, the human body produces cannabinoids itself. CBD is one of the cannabinoids produced by the hemp plant. Is CBD a natural product?
CBD is a natural product that is extracted from (industrial) hemp. To make CBD oil, the CBD is mixed with natural oils such as hemp seed oil, coconut oil or grape seed oil.
How do you use CBD?
Our oils come with a handy pipette. This allows you to properly measure the number of drops. We recommend to drip 5 drops of the CBD oil under the tongue and swallow it after 60 seconds. In this way, the CBD is quickly absorbed by the mucous membranes under the tongue. It also doesn't hurt to mix the CBD oil directly with your food or drink. Keep in mind that the (CBD) oil does not mix with water-based drinks.
Can I cook with CBD?
CBD can certainly be used in the kitchen. The simplest way is to mix a few drops of CBD oil with your food. It is also possible to mix CBD with a oily substance such as coconut oil or olive oil and use this to bake with. Please make sure that no temperatures above 160 degrees Celsius are reached. Above this temperature the CBD evaporates and that will of course be a shame.
Will CBD make me feel 'high'?
CBD does not have a psychoactive effect. The CBD from OCHO Amsterdam contains 0.0% THC. It is therefore not possible to get high from our products.
What are terpenes?
Terpenes are valuable molecules that are formed in thousands of plant species. This is also the case in the hemp and cannabis plant. Terpenes often have a strong odor, protect the plant and keep it healthy. It has recently been discovered that terpenes can also have many useful properties for the functioning of the human body. Like cannabinoids, terpenes also influence our endocannabinoid system, which can positively influence certain bodily functions. Our Full Spectrum CBD oils are rich in Terpenes.
How do I choose a suitable CBD product?
When using CBD for the first time, we recommend starting with a low concentration. You can always build this up. The average concentrations can be used preventively. When a powerful result is desired, you can switch to a higher concentration of CBD. If you are not sure what is the best solution for you, we always recommend that you consult a doctor.
Will CBD Affect THC Drug Test Results?
OCHO Amsterdam's products contain 0.0% THC. The usage of our CBD oil therefore has no influence on THC tests.
